Dinesh Gupta, MD
 

Dr. Dinesh Gupta finished his medical school in India and subsequently completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Nephrology fellowship at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He then transitioned to Cardiology and trained at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois as well as Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

He started his practice in Tullahoma in 1994 and has been serving the community since. His practice offers services in most aspects of Cardiology including diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures, diagnostic cardiac imaging, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations and follow up. He and his family have called Tullahoma home for 30 years. Both his daughters graduated from Tullahoma High School as valedictorians and his wife is a practicing Internal Medicine physician with Vanderbilt. During his free time, he loves to garden and travel.

Osama A. Ibrahim, MD, FSCAI
 

Dr. Osama A. Ibrahim, MD, FACC, FSCAI is an Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine Specialist. He is a regional and national pioneer within the arena of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) awareness and Limb salvage/Amputation prevention.

As a key opinion leader within the vascular arena, he chairs and co-chairs several national and international conferences, Dr Ibrahim relocated to middle Tennessee south of Nashville to develop a Regional Comprehensive Vascular Program given the extensive amputation rates in rural middle Tennessee. Dr Ibrahim has successfully developed, managed, and expanded several vascular programs and service lines in Ohio, Minnesota, and in Florida prior to moving to middle Tennessee.  Dr Ibrahim serves on several steering committees and advisory boards for various healthcare entities and chairs multiple national leadership committees within several organizations including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), American Heart Association (AHA), and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).  Besides his efforts for amputation prevention and implementation of treatment algorithms for management and early detection of PAD. Additionally, he is involved with HealthCare Policy and Healthcare Management.  He serves as Medical Advisor for The Congressional PAD Caucus and as the Chairman of Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt Harton Hospital.

Dr Ibrahim received his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He received his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine Residency training and Chief Residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. His Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowships were at The Harrington-McLaughlin Heart and Vascular Institute at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland where he also served as a Chief Fellow. He additionally completed an NRSA funded 2-year Basic Research Post Doctoral Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University within the departments of Physiology and Cardiology studying transcriptional regulation of the cardiac myocyte and fibroblast. Finally, he completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

Jennifer Slater

Jennifer Slater is board certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses in Acute Care Adult/Gerontology. She has been with Cardiology and Vascular Associates since May 2022 and has a special interest in caring for acutely ill cardiology patients in the hospital setting.

 

She completed a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Psychology in 1998 at Middle Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000, also at Middle Tennessee State University. Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2019 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.


In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys playing local trivia, attending football games with her husband John, and collecting vintage records.

Lizzy Chiu, NP

Lizzy Chiu, NP joined Gupta Cardiology in the summer of 2023. She graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2002 with a Master of Science in Nursing, and is board certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC.

Although she has also worked in orthopedics, family practice and urgent care, she has a passion for cardiology. She strives to bring her patients excellent care in the areas of hypertension, coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, arrythmias, heart failure, and peripheral vascular disease. 

Savannah Christopher, ACNP

Savannah is an experienced  Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) with a background in cardiology and endocrinology. After working closely with Dr. Gupta as a medical scribe in 2015, she pursued her training to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Vanderbilt University in 2019. She has been a part of Gupta Cardiology since that time.

Throughout her career, Savannah has developed a particular interest in the prevention and management of cardiac conditions, as well as the diagnosis of inherited diseases. She is passionate about empowering her patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their health and prevent future complications.

 

Having grown up in the local community, Savannah is dedicated to serving the individuals and families in the area, building lasting relationships based on trust, empathy, and shared goals for health and wellness.
